Installing Boot Camp in Windows 10 running on a Mac is easy. But if you want to remove the Boot Camp or Boot Camp service, the process will be cumbersome.

If you navigate to the Control Panel, you’ll see a Boot Camp Services entry, but the problem is that it doesn’t offer an uninstall option. When you select or right-click on the Boot Camp Services entry, you will not get an Uninstall option.

So how do you uninstall Boot Camp Services from your Windows 10 installation? Yes, there are two easy ways to uninstall and remove Boot Camp Services and drivers from Windows 10.

Note: that Boot Camp drivers are essential for the smooth operation of your keyboard, touchpad, webcam, and other devices on your Mac while running Windows 10 operating system. If you uninstall the Boot Camp Service, these devices may not work correctly.

Method 1: Uninstall Boot Camp service from Windows 10 using its setting

Go for this method if you have the drivers and installation files of Boot Camp. If not, move on to Method 2 of this tutorial (scroll down to see).

NOTE: This is the official way of uninstalling Boot Camp Services from Windows 10. So if you don’t have the Boot Camp setup file, we recommend you to download it and then follow the instructions below.

Step 1: Open the folder containing the Boot Camp drivers and the installation file and navigate to the following directory:

WindowsSupport BootCamp Drivers Apple

Step 2: Under the Apple folder, locate the BootCamp.msi file, right-click on it, and then click Uninstall.

Step 3: Click the Yes button when you get the following confirmation prompt.

If you receive a User Account Control prompt, press the yes button.

The Boot Camp service will be removed from your Windows 10 installation after a minute or two.

You do not need to reinstall the computer.

Uninstall Boot Camp using Microsoft program installer and uninstaller

Microsoft offers a tool called Program Uninstaller and Uninstaller to force uninstall programs that you can’t remove through Control Panel or Settings. Here’s how to use this tool to remove Boot Camp Services from Windows 10.

Step 1: Download the Program Install and Uninstall tool and run like that. Click the Next button.

Step 2: Next, you will get the “ Are you having a problem installing or uninstalling a program? ” screen. Click Uninstalling.

Step 3: Now, you will see a list of all the programs installed on your PC. The boot camp service will appear near the top of the list. Select Boot Camp Services and then click the Next button.

Step 4: Click the Yes option. Try to uninstall. This tool may take a few minutes to remove the Boot Camp Service.

Once done, you will see the following screen with the message “ Fixed”. You can close the troubleshooter now.

Step 5: Restart your PC now, remove Boot Camp Service.

On some computers, the Boot Camp icon in the system tray may continue to appear even after uninstalling the Boot Camp Service using this method. You can ignore that and hide it from the tray.
