Almost every computer user knows that clicking a link or icon will open whatever object is pointing.
But did you know there is a lot more to using your mouse than just visiting links and opening programs?
The truth is, the mouse is one of the most versatile parts of your computer system!
Tips for using the mouse you may not know
Do you want to prove it? Well, check out these four beneficial mouse tricks:
1 – Double click on a word to select it. This is a lot faster than clicking on the first letter of the word and then dragging the mouse pointer to the word’s end.
2 – Triple-click a word to instantly select the entire paragraph containing it. This is a lot faster than clicking the first letter in a paragraph, holding the Shift key, then clicking the last letter in a paragraph.
3 – Click the mouse wheel (press your finger) to open the link in a new window or tab. This is faster and easier while holding down the Ctrl key while you click a link.
4 – Hold down the Ctrl key while scrolling the mouse wheel to zoom in or out and change the font size. Hold down the Ctrl key and press 0 (it’s zero, not the O) to return the magnification and font size to their original state.
There you go! Now you know how to use a weak mouse to perform some pretty useful tricks. I hope you find them helpful!
