In Windows 10, you can pin installed apps and other settings to the Start Menu. Windows 10 Start Menu supports four different sizes-small, medium, large, and large. Generally, Windows 10 will take the icon from the target application and display it on the tile. Better yet, Windows 10 doesn’t provide an easy way to quickly customize tile icon sizes or completely change icons that appear on tiles. Change Windows 10 Start Menu Icon
To customize Windows 10’s Start Menu icons, we’ll use a free and portable app called. Go through GitHub and download the file.
Once downloaded, extract the zip file’s contents to whatever folder you choose and execute the application.
As soon as you open the app, it scans your system and displays all the apps. By selecting the application in the left pane, you can see the corresponding icon on the right. Furthermore, you will also find all the controls necessary to customize the tile icons in the left pane.
To change the tile icon, select the left pane application and click the “Change Image” button in the right pane. In my case, I want to change the Google Keep tile icon so that it doesn’t show the Google Chrome available icon when I pin it to the Start Menu.
The above action will open the Icon Selector window. Here you will see all the icons associated with the application. If you want to use a custom logo, select the radio button “Use Custom Image”.
Now, click on the “Browse” button and choose your custom icon. In my case, I downloaded a custom icon for Google Keep and selected it, where I downloaded a custom icon for Google Keep and fixed it.
After choosing the custom logo, click the “OK” button at the bottom of the window.
The above action will take you to the main window. You can also customize the tile background color by choosing a color from the drop-down menu under “Background Color”. In my case, I decided on a custom blue background tile color by selecting a color from the drop-down menu below the “Background Color” section. In my case, I chose a custom blue color.
Once you are done with everything, click the “Tile Iconify” button.
With the above action, the tile icon will be changed immediately, and you can see the changes in the Start Menu.
If you think the tile icon size is too large or too small, you can also modify that icon. In my case, the icon size was too large. To resize an icon, click the Zoom Out or Zoom In button next to the Medium or Small icon and click the “Tile Iconify” button to save the changes. To resize an icon, click the Zoom Out or Zoom In button next to the Medium or Small icon and click the “Tile Iconify” button to save the changes.
With the above action, you have successfully changed the tile icon size in Windows 10 Start Menu, Windows 10 Start Menu.
If you want to revert, select the application from the list, and click the “Remove Iconify” button.
