In Windows 10, Microsoft’s Groove Music is the default music player when you start using it. However, while it’s not a bad app, the music players are quite personal, and everyone has their preferences.
So if you want Groove not to be the default music player, this beginner’s guide will show you how.
1. Open “Settings” and click “System”
2. Select “Default apps” from the left pane
3. Scroll down until you see “Music Player”, click on it.
4. Select an Alternative music player.
You should see Groove Music now selected, and this is what you want to change. Click on the box, and you’ll be presented with a list of apps you have installed that match this category. Choose your favorites, and it will now become the default music player whenever you are using Windows 10.
