While on the go, you may want to use the internet on your Windows PC from an iPhone with a 3G / 4G subscription so you can work on the go. The built-in iPhone hotspot feature in iPhone / iPad allows you to share your iOS device’s Internet connection with other devices.
When it comes to mobile data sharing, you can share your internet connection via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or a USB cable.
In this guide, we will see how to set up a personal hotspot on your iPhone / iPad and then connect your Windows 10 laptop to your iPhone’s hotspot.
Method 1: Connect Windows 10 PC to iPhone’s hotspot via Wi-Fi
Step 1: First of all, you need to turn on both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on your iPhone. You can do that by opening Settings and turning on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Step 2: Next, turn on Personal Hotspot on your iPhone. To do that, navigate to
Settings > Personal Hotspot.
Please note that the Personal Hotspot option will not be available when mobile data is turned off. So, if you cannot access Personal Hotspot, mobile data may be turned off.
Step 3: Turn on the Personal Hotspot option. You will now see the default password for the hotspot.
If Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are disabled on your iPhone, you will get the following message. Tap Turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth preferences to turn them on and Turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Step 4: On your Windows 10 PC, make sure Wi-Fi is turned on. To do so, open Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi, and make sure the Wi-Fi option is turned on.
Step 5: Click on the Wi-Fi icon of your iPhone broadcasting in the taskbar’s system tray area, and then click on your iPhone entry. Click the Connect button.
