Have you ever had two or more tabs open in your web browser and closed one of them by accident, either by wrong clicking or merely closing the wrong tab?
Now I worked a little bit of manipulation and accidentally closed tabs immediately reappeared!
2 How to restore a closed tab in a web browser
Well, the truth be told that it is not magic, but rather a few “tricks” using the keyboard or mouse.
Use the keyboard
– Press the key combination Ctrl + Shift + T keyboard combination.
Use the mouse
Right-click on any of the open browser tabs and click on the Reopen closed tab ( Reopen closed tabs).
Whether you prefer to use one or two methods, the results are the same: The last tab you closed in the web browser will reopen with the webpage displayed at its untimely closed moment waiting for you next. Profanity!
Repeat the process, and next to the last tab you closed will open again. Pretty neat.
And here’s another little tip: This also works when you accidentally close the entire browser by clicking the small X in the top right corner of the window.
If you accidentally close the browser, restart it and press Ctrl + Shift + T to reopen the last used tab!
This tip works with Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, and Chrome (and perhaps others as well, but I only tested it with these five).
