How to Open, Edit, and Convert ISZ Files |
A File with the ISZ File extension is an ISO image compression file.
ISZ files are compressed, and sometimes encrypted, ISO images created by EZB Systems to save disk space.
An ISZ file can be divided into smaller pieces to save on multiple storage devices but still combined as an entire file.
How to Open an ISZ File |
Although not free, EZB Systems UltraISO can not only create ISZ files but also open them.
To open an ISZ file with UltraISO (even trial version), use Tools> Uncompress ISZ… option. This will convert the ISZ file into an ISO file and put the ISO in the same folder as the ISZ file.
Alcohol 120% can also open ISZ files, but it’s also not a free program.
DAEMON Tools Lite and WinMount Free Edition are two free alternatives that can install ISZ files. Here, Mounting means the program will open the ISZ file as if it were a storage device so you can browse through content.
For example, a quick way to open ISZ File with DEAMON Tools Lite is to open the program and then use the quick Mount option to browse and select ISZ File. DEAMON Tools Lite will find a suitable drive folder to use and then mount the ISZ file as a virtual drive, meaning the computer will think the data is actually on the disk.
You can then browse through ISZ files as you would browse the contents of a disc.

How to Convert an ISZ File
An easy way to convert ISZ to ISO is to use the UltraISO program I mentioned above.
It is straightforward to do, and it works even with the trial version of the program.
UltraISO also allows you to convert ISZ files to other image file formats such as BIN, NRG, MDF, and IMG through the File> Convert… menu option.
AnyToISO is another way to convert an ISZ file to the more popular ISO File format.
Suppose you want to convert files inside the ISZ file to another format (and not the ISZ file itself). In that case, you should first convert the ISZ ISO using one of the two methods I just mentioned and the following, which uses a free zip/decompression program to extract the ISO content. Files that can still be converted using a free File converter.
Converting ISZ to an archive format like RAR, ZIP, 7Z, etc., is probably best if you convert ISZ to ISO. Then you can use a tool like CloudConvert to convert the ISO to an archive file. Another option is to use a File decompression program like 7-Zip to extract the files from ISO and then use the same program to compress the files to 7Z, ZIP, etc.
