What is Wsappx?
Wsappx is not a virus or another type of malware. It’s a Windows process Developed by Microsoft, Introduced with launching Windows 8 .1.
Wsappx Is a process that responds to at least three Windows Services, all with one common denominator: Microsoft Store.
- Windows Store Service (WSService)
WSService Provides support for Microsoft Store infrastructure. Start on demand, and if you want to disable it altogether, they will appear in Usage Problem And Microsoft Store. You can only disable it if you don’t use the Microsoft Store.
- Customer License Service (ClipSVC)
ClipSVC Responsible for inspecting purchases from Microsoft Store. Service starts on demand, and if you shop from the Store, we don’t recommend disabling it.
- AppX Deployment Services (AppXSVC)
AppXSVC Is the service that uses most of the hard disk resources after upgrading Windows 8 To Windows 10. This is the service responsible for Microsoft Office Application Checking. Although it is set to start on-demand only over a long time, it will run and emphasize us a lot.
All three services do not allow us to stop them / change state at startup permanently. “Startup type” Cannot be modified.
Fix wsappx taking up high CPU
As far as I realize, this problem solves itself. Excessive resource usage only happened for a few hours after the Windows upgrade was completed. Most likely, until you verify the apps are installed on the system and the integrity of the Microsoft Store.
One solution would be to stop services by quitting the Microsoft Store.
