How to fix no sound after Bluetooth connection in Windows 10

Bluetooth allows you to connect devices without any cables. However, Bluetooth doesn’t always work correctly. Some Windows users have stated on forums that no sound is coming from their wireless speakers even though the devices appear to be connected. Here is how you can fix a Bluetooth speaker that doesn’t make any sound in Windows 10.

Option 1: Select Bluetooth device as the default playback device

Sometimes we may need to set our audio devices as default for them to function correctly. Do the following:

Step 1. On your keyboard, press the Windows key

Step 2. In the Playback tab, click your Bluetooth device> Set Default. Then click Apply > OK.

Step 3. Play some music and see if Bluetooth is connected and the sound works, then the problem is solved.

Method 2: Make sure the sound level is high enough

In this way, we make sure that our Bluetooth speakers/headphones are at least audible. Here’s how to do it:

Step 1. On your keyboard, press the Windows key

Step 2. In the Playback tab, click Bluetooth Devices > Properties.

Step 3. Click the Levels tab. Then, make sure the volume sound is pulled up to the audible level and that the audio icon is not muted.

Step 4. Click Apply > OK.

Hopefully, the Bluetooth problem is connected, but no sound has been solved. If the problem persists, proceed to the next way.

Method 3: Check that Bluetooth Support Service is turned on

Another reason for this Bluetooth connected problem but without this sound is that the service is disabled. To turn it back on, follow these steps:

services.msc

The great thing about Windows 10 is that it has dedicated troubleshooters for fixing specific functions. So if you want to troubleshoot audio playback, you can use the troubleshooter to play the sound.

To access, follow these instructions:

Step 1. Go to the taskbar and click the Search icon.

Step 2. Enter “ audio playback ” in the box, then select Find and fix audio playback. This will open the Audio Playback troubleshooter.

Step 3. Click Next. The troubleshooter will now find and fix audio playback problems.

Method 6. Update your Bluetooth Driver

Outdated or faulty drivers can cause Bluetooth device problems. If the driver is obsolete, the speaker may not work with the updated platforms. So, a driver update can restore speaker sound.

Step 1. Download and install Driver Easy.

Step 2. Run Driver Easy and click the Scan Now button. Driver Easy will then scan your computer and detect any problem drivers.
