The series of events in the game lasted nearly six months, from December 2012 to June 2013, more than 15 years after the T-Virus outbreak in Raccoon City. The game started on December 24, 2012. Chris Redfield and the BSAA task force he commanded are heading into Edonia to investigate a new enemy force called J’avo. They appear as mutated organisms, the leading cause of which may be due to the spread of a new virus.
At the same time, we will see Sherry Birkin is also in Edonia, the girl who survived the now-growing Raccoon City and became a member of the DSO (Division of Security Operations). She watched a suspicious group, who injected themselves with certain drugs told to make them brave and invincible. That is nothing more than a new strain of C-virus, brought here by “Ada Wong” (pay close attention!).
Sherry could barely see them transform and run away. Jake Muller appeared depressed. He was a member of the Liberation Army in Edonia fleeing biological attacks. One of the transmutations was attacked just now but easily controlled and escaped through the garbage pipe. Avoiding the coconut shell, he immediately sees Sherry, who is precisely looking for him because Jake’s blood contains a vaccine that can fight C-viruses. Jake agreed to cooperate with the condition that the US government had to pay him 50 million dollars. Sherry leads Jake to Chris’ place without knowing that Jake was stalked by a strange BOW creature named Ustanak.
Chris and his deputy, Piers Nivan, immediately realized that Jake was a mercenary on the enemy’s side, so Sherry said that Jake was now under the protection of the US government. Chris also saw Jake’s face was familiar but could not remember where he met him. Jake and Sherry were later taken away from the battlefield.
Chris’s team must continue their investigation in Edonia when he encounters “Ada Wong”. She seemed innocent and said all the events going on were pulled by a new organization called Neo-Umbrella. Chris ordered his subordinates to monitor and keep Ada safe, but he did not expect this decision to put his BSAA team to death. Ada deceived so that all Chris’s teammates were injected with the virus. They were immediately deformed and died painfully right in front of the captain. Chris lost all comrades, except Piers, to retreat from Edonia in danger.
As for Jake and Sherry, things were not as smooth as they expected. Their freighter was attacked by Ustanak and fell down a canyon. Sherry was seriously injured when plane debris hit her. But surprisingly, she was able to heal herself miraculously. This is the incredible ability that G-virus still in her body created. Jake and Sherry were eventually arrested at Neo-Umbrella’s research facility, where it was revealed that “Ada Wong” told the secret that Jake was the son of bio-terrorist boss Albert Wesker. From this point on, Sherry and Jake were imprisoned by Neo-Umbrella and performed experiments for six months.

Time was fast-forwarded until June 27, 2013, Ada Wong broke into a submarine belonging to Simmon’s base. She is now furious and wonders when receiving information about what happened six months ago with her presence while she did not know. Simmon accidentally revealed two crazy plans for his biological attack, one in the United States and then one in China. He conspires to let Ada Wong act as a shield when he blames all of her responsibility. Ada is forced to jump in to prove his innocence.
Two days after June 29, 2013, President Adam Benford came to a seminar at Ivy University with an official plan to openly discuss what happened in Raccoon City many years ago. Unfortunately, terrorists took the first step, and the president was turned into a zombie. Leon and Helena faced the president in this heartbreaking moment. He had to pull the trigger to finish him off. Helena suddenly said that this was all her fault. Leon had no time to understand when Hunnigan (the information specialist of the pentagon) contacted. He reported on the simultaneous attack on the president’s death. Helena told Hunnigan that Leon had clues about the attackers that had to lead him down.
On their way out of the school, the two catch another person also fleeing. He said some fog had caused this, and he was looking for his daughter. They found the girl, but it soon turned into a zombie and ate her father. Leon and Helena escape and find out that all Tall Oak has been infected. C-virus mutant monsters appeared on the streets. Leon and Helena tried to save the survivors while trying to escape. At this time, Hunnigan said the Neo-Umbrella organization had confirmed that the biological attack was theirs.
A bus carrying two people and other survivors accidentally fell into the abyss. The people in the car were killed, only Leon and Helena could escape. They enter the cathedral and see a Lepotica, a mutant monster that, when attacked, will release the gas that turns ordinary people into zombies. Destroying the monster, Leon and his colleagues discovered Neo-Umbrella’s underground research facility in this place. They watch a secret video of “Ada Wong” coming out of something like a cocoon. However, they still did not understand what was going on. Helena continued to search and caught her sister deep in the facility. Deborah is in critical condition. She is infected with C-virus, so it is excruciating. Her body gradually fossilized and became a mutated form with a bulging mass behind her back. Ada Wong suddenly appears and finishes Deborah. Helena is forced to let her sister die, but she vows to avenge her.
Only then did Helena confess. She helped Simmon approach the president and let the tragedy happen. Ada is also ambiguous about the enemies they confront, manipulating this country in the dark when she leaves. Simmon contacts both Ada and Leon, who tells Ada to come and see his gift for her. It is the video with Ada walking out of the cocoon. At this point, we understand that there are 2 Ada appearing. The fake is Ada appearing in Edonia, spreading C-virus and attacking Chris (wearing a purple shirt and red scarf), and Ada is here to find out everything.
Simmon’s phone call to Leon was made through Hunnigan’s contact. He made assumptions about the president’s death to accuse Leon of murdering him. He also bombarded the entire Tall Oak area to erase all traces, then set off for China. Leon asked Hunnigan to be fake the report that he and Helena were both dead, then followed terrorists to China.
Elsewhere, Chris has completely lost his memory after the horrific event that occurred six months ago, becoming a drunkard drunk. Looking for the captain for the past six months, Piers has finally come across Chris in the bar. To persuade Chris to return, he had to recall his painful memories for Chris to wake up.
On June 30, 2013, Jake and Sherry escaped from Neo-Umbrella’s research facility in China, bringing the precious data they gathered from Jake. However, Jake still could not accept that his biological father was a psychopath who wanted to destroy humanity. Chris and Piers ‘team are also present in China, the devastating scene here that makes Chris’ memories rise with deep hatred. He burned his revenge blindly. They were raided by a helicopter; with Jake and Sherry’s help, the attacker was quickly defeated. Jake remembered Chris’s words before. He wondered if Chris knew what his father was like. Piers tells Chris to follow the two young men, saying that they are a key factor in this case when both Neo-Umbrella are chasing them. Unfortunately, Chris was completely blinded with hatred, the captain insisted on looking for Ada for revenge.
At the same time, Leon and Helena, on their way to China, encountered another Lepotica right on the plane, causing them to “land” not very smoothly. Just out of the plane on fire, both caught sight of Sherry and Jake coming. Sherry said she was looking for Simmon because he sent her to look for Jake many months ago, but the conversation was quickly cut short because the Ustanak appeared to catch Jake again.
Chris and Piers, and the BSAA team this time continue to be attacked by a giant snake named Iluzija, each member of the group was devoured right in front of Chris’s eyes, making him almost relive the nightmare and become insane. It was at this moment that Ada is pretending to appear turned Chris’s hatred to its climax. Piers was angry that Chris could not see himself being dominated by emotion. He condemned Chris’s acting without thinking, leading to many of his subordinates’ vain deaths, but the other person still insisted on chasing the impostor. They follow her to a Neo-Umbrella lab, almost at the same time Leon and Helena are here. Chris had caught up to the fake Ada and was about to get stopped. The impostor threw an escape flare.
Leon couldn’t persuade Chris about Ada right now, so the two agreed to split up to take action: Leon and Helena look for Simmons, and Chris continues to chase Ada. As for the real Ada Wong, she had been to China before and watched everything. She always acted independently but still appeared to help Sherry and Jake before the Neo-Umbrella monsters’ onslaught follow up. Sherry and Jake encounter Simmons at the same time as Leon and Helena. Now Simmons no longer conceals his terrorist acts. When Leon gave Sherry, or the president died, Simmons immediately let his subordinates open fire to destroy all four people. Sherry gave Leon all the research data about Jake and said it would stop the C-virus. Simmons himself wanted them to pursue them. Leon and Helena deliberately lured Jake and Sherry away, but a J’avo suddenly appeared and captured them both. Ironically, a J’avo suddenly attacked from behind and injected C-virus into Simmons himself. He tried to run away by jumping on a train, Leon and Helena immediately chased.
On the side of Chris and Piers, the fake Ada appeared in front of them and said she made all J’avo’s attacks. The two were determined not to let Ada escape, chasing her to the edge of the terrace. She continued to give provocative words to Chris, causing him to open fire to disarm her. Suddenly a Neo-Umbrella helicopter appears, but instead of helping Ada to forge escape, a gunman appears and shoots her right there.
The real Ada has now found all the information and knows that the person who faked his true identity is Carla Radames – a scientist serving Derek Simmons. She is completely blind to Simmons, ready to do anything for him. Carla created the C-virus but was then tricked by Simmons into converting into the identity of Ada Wong – the one he fell in love with. Carla’s memories and mind were so disturbed by Simmons that she truly believed herself to be Ada. Ada Wong goes to her impersonator, but does not expect her to die but injects herself with a C-virus dose to transform and attack Ada. Ada tricked Carla into getting off the train and finally finished off the poor man’s fate.
On the side of Leon and Helena, Simmons, after trying to escape, could not resist C-virus’s effect. He turned into a monster and hunted down both agents. The battle was long and tiring, but in the end, Leon and Helena defeated him with fire. It was Helena who pressed the trigger to give him a fatal shot. Simmons still expects the help of Neo-Umbrella, the force he calls The Family, but they bluntly drop him. Simmons, in the form of monsters, fell on the tracks and were crushed by the train, falling into the sea.
It didn’t stop there. Neo-Umbrella’s ship fired a rocket containing gas that spread C-virus toward the city. Chris contacted Leon to say that Ada was dead and quickly told him to get out of the possible virus infection scope. The entire population was infected before the attack. Leon told Chris to try to save Jake because he is the key to help resolve the C-virus and revealed Jake’s father-son relationship with Wesker. Chris agreed, and Leon continued to find a way out of the city.
On July 1, 2013, Chris and Piers followed the elevator to the other Neo-Umbrella secret facility. Here they rescue Sherry and Jake, but Chris also confessed to Jake himself, who killed his father. Jake, for a moment, was almost crazy, but fortunately, he realized the situation now more critical than personal disputes, which his father was the origin of the whole tragedy. To cut through the forest, a cocoon at the research facility hatched an oversized monster, forcing Chris and Piers to fight it while fleeing the collapsing base.
Leon and Helena are still struggling to escape the now flooded city, but fortunately, Ada Wong appears on the helicopter and sees the two of them. Unexpectedly that Simmon was still alive, he reappeared and blocked the three’s escape route by turning himself into a giant monster that was scarier than before. So the battle continued until the three had to use a crane and a rocket launcher to take him down. Simmon falls and is stabbed to death by a tower, his blood flowing into Umbrella’s symbol.
After Ada leaves Leon and Helena, she finds Neo-Umbrella base to eliminate any remaining germs. She leaves Leon with all the data about what Simmon has done. Finally, Leon and Helena were able to leave China.
Continuing with the battle under the remaining underground base, Sherry and Jake were killed by the persistent Ustanak monster. Jake fought to the limit and exhausted and punched the monster into the lava sea below. Of course, he did not die right away but emerged even more awful than at first. With Sherry’s support, the two shoot at the heart and finish it off and escape.
The battle of Chris and Piers with the monster in the cocoon is not as favorable. Piers is seriously injured in his right hand and is infected with C-virus from the other monster. They could defeat the monster, but Piers was very critical. He forced Chris to leave this place and just let him go. Piers threw Chris into the fire escape and locked it, sacrificing himself to save his captain.
The game will close with four different ending movies. Helena visited her sister’s grave, telling Leon and Hunnigan she wanted to be responsible for being involved in the president’s death. But she was found guilty and continued to serve the country as an agent. Chris was spotted at the same bar that Piers found him a few days ago, looking deeply depressed. But when a BSAA rookie arrived and told Chris about his new mission, he immediately stood up to continue his path. Sherry appeared alone on the plane, Jake was not there, but all research information about Jake and C-virus was returned to the research facility. Jake and Wesker’s relationship is also hidden as confidential information. It was sent to Jake, and he said that the deal price would be reduced from 50 million to only 50 dollars only. The game’s secret ending is when Jake appears and destroys a J’avo at an apple’s cost.
